Privacy on the Petit

Climbed the Petit Grepon last Tuesday with Heather and had the South Face route all to ourselves..Hard to come by figuring that the south face route is one of the 50 classic climbs of North America and down right the most popular climb in RMNP..Late season and the fact that it was a week day surely helped...
Looking up the chimney, pitch #2

Ya, I guess you could say we were taking our time..Didn't see a cloud in the sky until 2pm..
Heather, napping in the sun...

Heather climbing up to Pizza pan belay ledge..Pitch #6

Pizza Pan belay... Thought this might give a good perspective on the exposure and airiness of this belay perch..

Looking down at the "classic" pizza pan belay ledge..

Getting ready to lead pitch #7. One of my favorite of the route...You get to climb through a really cool quarts crystal band.. Awesome exposed climbing on the last two pitches of the South face route..

View down from the summit spire..

This self portrait..Just for you Aaron...

Heather, on the 6th and final rappel..

Looking back up at the route in red...

Peace, Jason
